What Are Veneers?
Porcelain veneers are a thin piece of ceramic that bond to the front of your teeth, giving the appearance of a white, perfect smile. They’re ideal for patients who have broken or uneven teeth, especially in the front, and can be used to cover stains or chips. Each veneer is customized to fit the patient’s unique needs. At Main Street Dentistry, we are highly experienced in the highly technical art of perfectly placing veneers.
Benefits to Porcelain Veneers
- After the veneer has been placed, it should look just like your natural tooth, but whiter.
- The porcelain is so thin that it is virtually undetectable, and the bond will hold so you can eat and drink as usual.
- They are more stain-resistant than your natural tooth enamel so you can keep your smile looking whiter, longer. If you’re a coffee or tea drinker, veneers could be a great option for you!
How Long Do Veneers Last?
Porcelain veneers are extremely durable, and with proper care and regular check-ups, they can last for over a decade. Our veneers are made from the highest quality porcelain on the market and are bonded with the best materials available.
Please note that your veneers may crack or fall off with rough usage. Avoid using your teeth to bite down on hard foods or to open packages. If damage does occur, the veneer can be easily replaced.
