What Is Teeth Whitening?
Dental whitening is a procedure in which stained or discolored teeth are restored to a bright white. While you can buy whitening treatments from the drugstore, the chemicals in them can be harmful and may cause tooth sensitivity with continued use. Our formula is easy to use and won’t damage your teeth or gums.
Dental whitening works on all manner of stains, whether they’re a product of age, beverages, or chemical damage. In more extreme cases veneers may be necessary, but anyone can try out whitening to see if it works for them.
Benefits of Teeth Whitening
- Works on patients of any age
- Corrects staining and discoloration
- Restores brightness to your smile
- Safe and non-damaging
- Less expensive than porcelain veneers
Dental Whitening Procedure
If you’re interested in whitening your teeth, you can let us know at your next appointment or call our office to schedule a new one. We’ll take an impression of your mouth and use it to create a custom bleach splint to fit you personally. These splints look something like a mouthguard and are used to hold the bleach against your teeth. You can usually pick up your custom splints within a day or two after your appointment.
Once you get them home, you’ll put the bleaching solution into the splints and wear it in your mouth for a few hours at a time each night. The bleaching solution will work to remove stains from the tooth enamel itself. Within days, you’ll notice dramatic whitening results. If you want to brighten your smile, book an appointment with our office for a teeth whitening treatment!
